Albany, N.Y. – The University at Albany field hockey team is ranked 18th for the second straight week in the STX/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll, as released by the NFHCA on Tuesday afternoon.
The Great Danes earned 190 points to retain their national ranking after breaking into the top 20 last week for the first time in the program’s Division I history. UAlbany (5-3) defeated crosstown-rival Siena, 7-0, on Sept. 14 before falling to Boston College, 2-1, in overtime on Sunday. The Eagles moved up a spot to 10th in this week’s poll.
UAlbany will visit Colgate in non-conference action on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. and hosts Holy Cross on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Alumni Turf Field.
