In the latest 2007 STX/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll which was released today, the UAlbany Field Hockey team was ranked #18 in the nation. They were previously ranked #24 in last week's poll. Their new ranking comes on the heels of UAlbany beating Ohio University, currently ranked #12 in the nation, beating Indiana previously ranked #14, and losing a close match 2-1 to James Madison currently ranked #8.
They meet cross-town rival Siena on Friday, Sept. 14th, and continue with a match versus Boston College currently ranked #11 in the nation on Sunday, Sept.16.
