Albany, N.Y. – The UAlbany women’s soccer team has announced its 2009 spring schedule. Head coach Mary-Frances Monroe and the Great Danes will compete in three tournaments and conclude the short season with a scrimmage on the road.
UAlbany’s non-traditional schedule begins on Saturday, March 28 when the Great Danes travel for a tournament hosted by Hofstra. UAlbany will play matches against Long Island, Iona and St. Peter’s. The Great Danes will then embark on a trip to play in a 7-on-7 tournament hosted by Central Connecticut State on Saturday, April 4.
Two weeks later, UAlbany will welcome Cornell, Syracuse, Colgate and Saint Rose to Varsity Field for a tournament on Saturday, April 18. The round-robin event will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The spring season will conclude on Saturday, March 25 with a scrimmage at Marist.
