Albany, N.Y. – The UAlbany men’s soccer team has announced its 2009 spring schedule. Head coach Johan Aarnio and the Great Danes will compete in three tournaments on the road and play three matches at home on Varsity Field.
UAlbany’s non-traditional schedule begins on Saturday, March 28 at Binghamton University, where the Great Danes will scrimmage against Syracuse and Binghamton. The squad will return home to face Central Connecticut State on Saturday, April 4.
The Great Danes will then play in two more tournaments on the road. UAlbany will head to Colgate for a pair of contests on Saturday, April 11. Aarnio’s club will play Buffalo to start the day, and then face either Colgate or Cornell in the second match.
On Saturday, April 18, UAlbany will compete at the Massachusetts College Classic in Lancaster, Mass. The Great Danes will play two matches against a pair of opponents to be determined. Boston University, Central Connecticut State, Hartford, Providence and Quinnipiac are all scheduled to be in attendance.
The spring season wraps up with two home dates. UAlbany will face Hartwick on Saturday, April 25 before finishing with an Alumni Game on Saturday, May 2.
