UAlbany Volleyball Sweeps New Hampshire In Straight Sets. More to come...
Durham, N.H. – Senior Hillary White recorded a match-high 12 kills to lead UAlbany to a 3-0 win over New Hampshire in America East Conference volleyball action on Friday evening at Lundholm Gymnasium. The Great Danes remain undefeated in conference play, defeating the Wildcats with scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-21.
Junior Valerie Sourbeer recorded nine kills for UAlbany, hitting .400 for the match and adding three digs and one block assist. Sophomore outside hitter Amanda Cowdrey tallied eight kills, 11 digs and three total blocks, as well as one service ace. Sophomore setter Brooke Stanley continued her strong play for the Great Danes, tallying a match-high 31 assists, six digs, five kills and two service aces, along with a .400 hitting percentage.
Lindsay Fogarty led New Hampshire (6-18, AE 3-5) with seven kills while setter Kate Uitti recorded a double-double with 19 assists and 12 digs. Pauline Acres had six kills and six digs, while Alyse Lahti led the Wildcats defensively with a match-high 15 digs.
UAlbany (16-8, AE 8-0) will continue America East play on the road, visiting Maine on Sunday at 2 p.m.
