Pomare Te Anau Named America East Conference Men’s Soccer Rookie Of The Week

Cambridge, Mass. - University at Albany's Pomare Te Anau has been named America East Conference Rookie of the Week in men's soccer, which was announced on Monday, Oct. 10 by the conference office. Te Anau is being honored as rookie of the week for the second time this season.

An Auckland, New Zealand native, Te Anau helped secure a conference point for the Great Danes in the 68th minute vs. Hartford in a 1-1 double-overtime tie on Oct. 8. The freshman midfielder now has four goals and 11 points on the season. His totals leads all America East rookies and is tied for fourth overall in points (11), tied for third in goals (4) and tied for seventh in assists (3).
