University of Albany's Annemarie Kissane Leads Golf to Victory at Hartford Invitational - UAlbany Sports 2009

West Hartford, Conn. – Freshman Annemarie Kissane (Albany) finished with a two-day score of 159 to finish first and lead the UAlbany golf team to a win at the Hartford Invitational at Rockledge Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon. The Great Danes carded a two-day total of 657 to win the team title.

Kissane, who stood in second place after day one of play, shot an 80 over the final 18 holes to take home the individual title. Sophomore Corrin Conroy carded an 83 over the par-72 course to finish with a two-day score of 161 and finish tied for third. Jessica Signorelli tied for ninth individually after shooting a team-low 77 on day two to finish with a total of 168. Amanda McPhee (17th, 85-89—174) and Stephanie Klein (t18th, 90-85—175) rounded out the UAlbany scorers.

Fairfield finished second in the team scoring with a two-day total of 659, while Sacred Heart took third with a total of 679. Hampton (688), Hartford (694) and Central Connecticut State (720) completed the team standings.

UAlbany will host Hartford and Boston University at Shaker Ridge Country Club on Saturday and Sunday for the America East Conference Championship.
