West Hartford, Conn. – Sophomore Corrin Conroy recorded a first-round score of 78 to pace the UAlbany golf team on the first day of play at the Hartford Invitational on Monday at Rockledge Golf Course. The Great Danes are first out of six teams with a total score of 332 after 18 holes.
Freshman Annemarie Kissane (Albany) is second individually, one shot behind Conroy with a score of 79. Junior Amanda McPhee carded an 85 over the first 18 holes to finish the round tied for 11th. Freshman Stephanie Klein stands in a tie for 23rd with a score of 90, while junior Jessica Signorelli is tied for 26th individually with a first-round score of 91.
Sacred Heart and Fairfield are tied for second in the team standings with a total of 337 over the par-72 course. Hampton is fourth (345) followed by Hartford (349) and Central Connecticut State (359).
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
