University of Albany Men's Hockey

The University of Albany Ice Hockey team has established themselves as an elite team in the MCHC and a top notch ACHA competitor. Since its inception in 1976, the program has and will continue to be run in a very professional manner. Funded through the Student Association, the Great Danes Ice Hockey team is one of the most reputable organizations on campus.

The team has put themselves into a high ranking position in the Atlantic Region and an annual favorite for the National Tournament. The team plays between 25 and 30 games per season and practices twice a week.

The home ice for the Great Danes is the Albany Academy Ice Rink, located only 10 minutes from campus.
