Durham, N.C. – Senior David Parker placed sixth in the high jump to lead the UAlbany track and field team on the first day of the Duke Invitational on Friday, April 4 at Wallace Wade Stadium.
Parker cleared the bar at 6-feet, 4.75-inches to finish sixth in the high jump. Freshman Wilfredo de Jesus Elias recorded a toss of 169-feet, 6-inches in the hammer throw to place 10th.
In the women’s competition, freshman Octavia Clarkson came in third in the developmental 400-meter dash in a time of 59.28 seconds. Clarkson also finished 14th in the developmental 200-meter dash in a time of 26.45 seconds. Freshman Sandy Antenor registered a leap of 37-feet, 2.50-inches to place 14th in the triple jump.
The Great Danes complete competition at the Duke Invitational on Saturday, April 5.
