Cambridge, Mass. – University at Albany’s Susan Ma has been named the America East Conference Tennis Performer of the Week, as announced today by the conference office.
Ma, a freshman from Parkville, Mo., has posted a 9-1 record in singles play and a 7-2 doubles record to start the spring season, playing all of her singles matches at the No. 2 position. Her only loss of the spring came in a 6-7 (4-7), 2-6 loss in a dual match versus Massachusetts. Ma recorded one of two singles victories for UAlbany against Georgetown, coming away with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 win, and posted a 7-5, 3-6, 10-7 win in conference play against UMBC. Ma has teamed up with Aimee Kern in the spring for doubles play, recording key victories in the No. 1 doubles spot against Providence (8-5), Georgetown (8-1) and George Mason (8-2).
