Cambridge, Mass. - Freshman midfielder Tegan Brown was named the America East Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Brown recorded her first career hat trick in a 6-0 win over St. Francis (Pa.) on Friday evening. She scored her first goal of the game, which proved to be the gamewinner, just three minutes into the contest on a penalty corner. Brown scored twice more on penalty corners, one in each half. She combined for nine shots on goal on the weekend, including four against St. Francis and five against Temple on Sunday, a 1-0 victory for the Great Danes.
This is Brown's second rookie of the week honor this season. She earned her first weekly award on Sept. 8.
