Boston College (7-4) broke a 7-7 tie by scoring three consecutive times. Hannah Alley ignited that run with her 12th goal of the season, before Brittany Wilton converted a free-position shot. In another free-position situation, Jill Amo passed to Brooke Blue for a 10-7 advantage with 7:38 to play.

After UAlbany's Nikki Branchini won the following draw, Phelan tied the contest at 10 apiece by connecting in a free-position situation 44 seconds later. Phelan, who had just two goals this season from her midfielder position coming into the contest, converted a low shot to complete the rally.

UAlbany's Jodi Battaglia equaled a season-high with three goals, including one that tied the contest at seven-all with 15:59 left.
