Cambridge, Mass. - University at Albany's Teresa Coppiellie was named the America East Conference Volleyball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday, Nov. 1. Coppiellie earned her second consecutive weekly award and her fourth of the season after guiding UAlbany back to the top of the conference standings in Sunday's a 3-1 victory over UMBC.
Coppiellie, a native of Canton, Mich., recorded a double-double of 17 kills and 14 digs, her 12th double-double of the season. The senior outside hitter also finished with four total blocks and two service aces along with a .245 hitting percentage in the match.
UAlbany (16-7, AE 6-2) regained sole possession of first place in the conference standings with the win over UMBC. The Great Danes will visit New Hampshire and Providence over the weekend in conference play
