University of Albany's Kristi Troch Earns America East Conference Field Hockey Co-Player of the Week Honors - UAlbany Sports 2010

Cambridge, Mass. - University at Albany's Kristi Troch has been named the America East Conference Field Hockey Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Troch, a sophomore goalkeeper, received her first career weekly honor.

Troch anchored the UAlbany defense in a 2-1 strokeoff win over Boston U. on Oct. 24. She made 11 saves in the regulation and two overtime periods, and then stopped two of the Terriers' five penalty stroke attempts to give the Great Danes the victory. Troch faced 24 Boston U. shots in the complete-game victory and made four impressive saves in the second overtime stanza.

UAlbany (13-4, AE 4-0) is one of two teams still undefeated in conference play. The Great Danes, who have clinched a spot in the America East Championship for the sixth consecutive season, will play on the road at New Hampshire for the regular-season title and the right to host the four-team tournament on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m
