University of Albany Women's Tennis Records 6-1 Win Over Skidmore; Susan Ma Wins in Singles & Doubles - UAlbany Sports 2010

Albany, N.Y. - Susan Ma posted a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Laura Attley at No. 3 singles and teamed up with Laine Mackey for a doubles win to lead UAlbany to a 6-1 win over Skidmore in non-conference tennis action on Tuesday afternoon at The Bubble.

Ma and Mackey defeated Skidmore's Danika Robison and Nataly Mendoza, 8-5, at the top doubles position. Livia Gherman and Caitlin Crowley recorded an 8-3 win over Rachel Loeb and Dani Fancher at second doubles. The Thoroughbreds earned a win at No. 3 doubles as Attley and Tory Engros defeated UAlbany's Sarah Iannone and Aubrey Brooks, 8-3.

Gherman defeated Robison, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while Mackey recorded a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win over Loeb at the second position. Crowley and Brooks also won their singles matches, with Crowley recording a 6-2, 7-6 (4) win over Mendoza and Brooks posting a 6-2, 6-0 win over Fancher at fourth and fifth singles, respectively. Skidmore's Brittany Trimble earned the Thoroughbreds' lone singles win at the No. 6 position, defeating Melissa Coughlin, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-0.

The Great Danes will not return to action until March 6, hosting Fordham at 1 p.m.
