University of Albany Men's Lacrosse Among Top 20 In National Polls - UAlbany Sports 2010

Scott Marr begins his 10th season as UAlbany's head coach. He has an 80-58 record and four of his teams have made NCAA Tournament appearances. The Great Danes return 27 letterwinners off last year's 7-7 club. Brian Caufield earned USILA honorable mention All-America honors and ranked seventh among the Division I leaders in scoring with 24 goals and 27 assists. Joe Resetarits (34 goals, 9 assists) earned first-team All-America East Conference recognition as a freshman and was a member of the league's all-rookie squad. Senior Mark Kelly was a second-team all-conference defenseman.

Six opponents on UAlbany's 2010 schedule appear in at least one of the national polls. Besides top-ranked Syracuse, Johns Hopkins is fifth in both preseason rankings. UMBC, Massachusetts and Bucknell are in both top-20 listings. Denver is No. 18 in the media poll.
