Men's Basketball Battles America East Conference Opponent Binghamton On Road Tonight

Vestal, N.Y. - UAlbany travels to Binghamton for an America East Conference match-up at the 5,142-seat Events Center on Wednesday, Feb. 3. Tip-off is 7:00 p.m. Eastern. Fans can listen to the game on Fox Sports 980, WOFX-AM, with Greg Tobben handling play-by-play.

Binghamton (10-13, AE 5-3) captured the America East Conference championship and earned their first-ever NCAA Tournament berth with a 23-9 record last year. Mark Macon has taken over as interim head coach. Macon, an All-America guard under John Chaney at Temple University, played in the NBA for six seasons. The Bearcats, who have won three straight, have moved into fourth place in the conference standings following last Saturday's 76-73 overtime win against New Hampshire. Greer Wright, a 6'7" junior who transferred from City College of San Francisco, is having a productive first season with the program. Wright ranks fifth in scoring (15.6 ppg), sixth in assists (3.0 pg) and eighth in rebounding (6.3 pg) among the conference leaders. Chretien Lukusa and Moussa Camara were both members of last year's conference championship squad. Camara, who hails from Paris, France, is scoring at 9.9 points per game and had a career-best 24 in the first meeting with UAlbany on Jan. 7. Lukusa, who contributes 8.3 points and 5.0 rebounds, is a good defender. Dylan Talley, a 6'5" guard, is one of the top freshmen in the conference. Talley (11.3 ppg) has been named America East rookie of the week four times.

UAlbany (6-18, AE 1-8) is riding a five-game losing streak. Tim Ambrose, who is 11th among the conference leaders with a 13.8 scoring average, needs 16 points to reach 1,000 for his career. Freshmen Logan Aronhalt (5.6 ppg) and Mike Black (5.2 ppg) have secured positions in the starting lineup. Fran Urli, a junior college transfer, totaled seven points, six rebounds and a career-high three assists in his last start against Vermont.
