Berkeley, Calif. – Senior defender Carolina Bistue converted her penalty stroke to give California a 3-2 shootout victory over No. 19 UAlbany on Saturday afternoon at Maxwell Family Field. The game's final score was also 3-2, with Bistue earning a game-winning goal for her penalty stroke.
The Great Danes had taken a 2-0 first-half lead before the Golden Bears rallied back in the second half to send the game to overtime. Lo then set up Katie Knoche’s goal in the final minute, passing the ball across the circle, where Knoche shot the ball into the left side of the goal past UAlbany’s Ashley Ross.
