Cambridge, Mass. - University at Albany's Brooke Stanley was named the America East Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. It is Stanley's second straight weekly honor and her third of the season.
Stanley, a junior setter from Hendersonville, N.C., recorded her seventh double-double of the season in the Great Danes' only match of the week against Hartford on Oct. 9. In a 3-0 sweep of the Hawks, Stanley moved into second place on UAlbany's career assists chart, surpassing Lisa Grenier with 3,262 helpers. She tallied 28 assists in the match to go along with a team-high 10 digs. Stanley also recorded three service aces, two kills and a .667 hitting percentage.
