University of Albany Tennis Continues Play at Virginia Tech's Hokie Fall Invitational - UAlbany Sports 2009

Blacksburg, Va. - Aubrey Brooks and Caitlin Crowley defeated Kelby Marston and Jessica Ratcliff, 8-2, in a consolation doubles match as the Great Danes continued play at Virginia Tech's 16th Annual Hokie Fall Invitational, held at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center on Saturday.

Brooks and Crowley later dropped a 8-2 decision to Emerald Lauzon and Sarah Tegner of Radford in a later round of Flight B doubles. Livia Gherman was victorious over Radford's Mirna Matic in the consolation round of Flight B singles, posting a 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (6) win. In the next round, Gherman fell to Winthrop's Sara Abutovic, 6-3, 6-2.

Brooks will wrap up play in Flight C singles on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
