Albany, N.Y. - The University at Albany field hockey team is ranked 18th for the second straight week on the Kookaburra/NFHCA Division I Coaches' Poll, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon. It is the Great Danes' fourth consecutive week in the national rankings.
UAlbany (11-3) recorded two shutouts last week, including a 2-0 win over America East Conference foe Vermont and a 4-0 victory over crosstown-rival Siena. Freshman Inge Baijens and junior Suzy Clephane each recorded one goal and one assist on the week. The Great Danes outshot their opponents 48-7 last week, including a 33-0 differential against Siena, while also holding a 24-4 advantage in penalty corners.
The Great Danes will return to action on Saturday, visiting conference-rival Boston U. at 1 p.m.
