Taylor Frink Named A-East Player of the Week; University of Albany Ranked #17/15 in National Polls - UAlbany Sports 2011


Cambridge, Mass. - University at Albany's Taylor Frink has been chosen America East Conference Player of the Week in women's lacrosse, as announced on Monday, March 14 by the conference office.

Frink, a senior attacker from Baldwinsville, N.Y., scored a career-high seven points in a pair of non-league victories against both Marist (17-8) and Niagara (23-1). She had three goals and four assists against each Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opponent and did all of her scoring in the first half against Niagara. Frink became the 13th UAlbany player to reach the 100-career point mark. She has climbed to 12th on the program's all-time scoring list with 112 points and fourth in career assists (43). Frink leads the conference in scoring at 4.80 points per game and has 14 goals and 10 assists through five games.

In addition, UAlbany (5-0) moved up two spots in the IWLCA poll and four places in this week's deBeer/Inside Lacrosse national Top 20. The Great Danes are No. 17 in the IWLCA rankings and No. 15 by Inside Lacrosse.
