Cambridge, Mass. - University at Albany's Dwayne Stewart has been chosen America East Conference Rookie of the Week in men's lacrosse, as announced on Monday, May 3 by the conference office.

A redshirt freshman from Copiague, N.Y., Stewart recorded career-highs in points (2) and ground balls (4) in last Saturday's 11-6 win over Binghamton. He later split a defensive double-team to find Dave Brock, who connected on a behind-the-back shot. Stewart, who has played in 13 games, has two goals and four assists this season.
