 ALBANY, N.Y. – Mariah Williams scored the golden goal in the 92nd minute off Caroline Kopp’s corner kick to give the UAlbany women’s soccer team a 2-1 victory over Rhode Island in the season home opener.

 UAlbany (2-3) snapped a three-game losing streak with its overtime win over Rhode Island (0-2-2) in a physical, high shooting game. UAlbany outshot URI 21-18 in the game plus had 10 corner kicks to its opposition’s eight.
