ALBANY, N.Y.- With just three
regular season games left, No. 13 University at Albany field hockey continues to
rank among the nation’s leaders in both team and individual categories.
Sophomore midfielder Paula Heuser leads the nation in points per game
(3.00) for the second consecutive week, as the Great Danes dropped to No. 13 in
the NFHCA Poll.
The defending America East Midfielder and
Rookie of the Year, Heuser is first in points per game (3.00) and second in
goals per game (1.27). The sophomore has never dropped out of the national
top-10 in either category this season.
Laura Page records her third consecutive week in the
No. 2 spot for assists per game. She is joined this week in the top-20 by Fiori Van Rijswijk, who ranks 19th (0.67) in the
category.
Defensively, Jordyn Homyak ranks 16th in defensive saves with
three. Goalkeeper Maxi Primus is third in goals against average (0.75)
and fifth in save percentage (.796). The sophomore has not dipped out of the
top-10 in either category this season.
