ALBANY, N.Y.- The University at Albany field hockey team (12-2, 2-0 AE) maintained its No. 12 ranking this week in the latest NFHCA poll. The Great Danes beat Vermont 8-0 and Columbia 6-0 last week. 
UAlbany is the top team in the nation in five statistical categories. The Great Danes lead all Division I teams including assists per game (3.43), scoring margin (3.79), goals against average (0.79), shutouts per game (0.50) and points per game (12.57). Phil Sykes’s squad is also ranked second in scoring average (4.57).
The Great Danes face New Hampshire at Alumni Field on Friday at 3 p.m.
