University of Albany Women's Track & Field Takes Home Fourth Consecutive America East Crown - UAlbany Sports 2012

Orono, Maine- UAlbany women's track and field squad defended its America East Conference Title for the fourth consecutive year with a team score of 185 on Sunday, May 6. The Great Danes coaching staff was named America East Conference Championship Coaching Staff of the Year.

On the track, Tynelle Taylor-Chase took home the gold in the 400-meter hurdles with an ECAC qualifying time of 1:00.62. Teammate Brittany Eveleth followed right behind Taylor-Chase in second with an ECAC qualifying time of 1:01.29.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Kamilah Williams, Brittany Eveleth, Tynelle Taylor-Chase and Allison Rogers continued its dominance on the track with a gold-medal finish time of 3.45.61 which was an ECAC qualifier. Brianne Bellon, Jonelle White, Sherez Mohamed and Kathryn Fanning finished first in the 4x800-meter relay with an ECAC qualifying time of 9:02.07.

In the field events, Patricia McNish took home golds in the long (6.00 meters) and triple jump (12.51 meters) both of which are ECAC qualifying marks. Catherine Coxon placed first in the discus throw with an ECAC qualifying mark of 47.34 meters.
