Tucson, Ariz. - University at Albany second baseman Brian Bullard was named to the 2010 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Baseball Team, as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
Bullard, who started 47 games for the Great Danes this season, was named to the America East Conference Second Team and was an all-rookie selection. He finished second on the team with a .326 average, recording 58 hits, including nine doubles and four home runs. He scored 37 runs and drove in 32 more, while also stealing eight bases on the season.
Bullard, a native of West Nyack, N.Y., was one of nine freshman second basemen from around the nation to be selected to the team.
