Cambridge, Mass. – Sophomore setter Brooke Stanley earned her seventh America East Conference Setter of the Week Award as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Stanley helped lead the Great Danes to their 12th straight win to remain undefeated in America East play, and earn at least a share of the conference title and hosting rights to the league’s postseason tournament.
Stanley quarterbacked UAlbany to a 3-1 win over Binghamton in the Great Danes’ only match of the week. She recorded a match-high 46 assists and just missed a double-double with nine digs. She also added four kills on four attempts for a perfect hitting percentage, and recorded one block assist in the match. Due in part to Stanley’s superb passing on Sunday, Nov. 9, the Great Danes outhit Binghamton in the match, .288 to .110. UAlbany (18-8, AE 10-0) remained in sole possession of first place in the standings.
