Albany, N.Y. – Former University at Albany men's lacrosse player Liam Gleason was chosen 33rd overall in the fourth round of the Major League Lacrosse supplemental draft, held on Wednesday, Dec. 5. Gleason was picked by the New Jersey Pride, joining former Great Dane teammate Merrick Thomson.
Gleason, a 2007 UAlbany graduate, played in 17 games last season, scoring one goal and picking up nine groundballs. A 6-foot-4 defenseman, Gleason played two seasons with the Great Danes after transferring from Adelphi University. A native of Wading River, N.Y., Gleason made 28 appearances in his UAlbany career and graduated in May with a degree in sociology.
