UAlbany Field Hockey Drops 4-1 Decision to #14 Louisville

Louisville, Ky. – Tuli Lim scored the gamewinner, an unassisted shot from the middle of the circle, at the 33:30 mark to lead No. 14 Louisville to a 4-1 win over UAlbany in non-conference field hockey action on Sunday afternoon.

Julie Barton scored the first goal of the game for the Cardinals, converting a pass from Nicole Youman and slipping it past UAlbany goalkeeper Ashley Ross at 30:37. Louisville’s Allison Maffitt increased the lead to 3-0 just three minutes into the second half on a pass from Janelle Avila in the center of the circle. Missy Briery completed the Cardinals’ scoring at 53:15 with an unassisted shot off a rebound.

Freshman Chelsea Neff scored her first collegiate goal at the 60:37 mark, taking a pass from Michelle Simpson from the right side of the goal and firing past Louisville goalkeeper Marie-Claire Heller.

Ross finished with 11 saves in the cage for UAlbany. Heller made two stops for Louisville (2-2).

UAlbany will return to action on Friday, Sept. 7, hosting Temple in the 2007 home opener, starting at 3:30 p.m.
