UAlbany's Resetarits & Thomson Will Play in USILA North-South Classic on May 25

Baltimore, Md. – University at Albany’s Frank Resetarits and Merrick Thomson have been selected to play in the 66th Annual United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) North-South Classic which features the nation’s finest senior collegiate players. The all-star contest will be held at Calvert Hall High School in Towson, Md. on Friday, May 25 at 5:45 p.m. The game is part of the NCAA lacrosse championship weekend at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium.

Resetarits is currently third in the nation in scoring with 57 goals and 23 assists for 80 points, the third-best total in UAlbany history. A finalist for the Tewaaraton Trophy, Resetarits was voted the 2007 America East Conference Player of the Year. He is second on the school’s all-time scoring list with 241 points (158 goals, 83 assists).

Thomson earned all-conference recognition four times, including a pair of first-team selections, during his career. He ranks third among the NCAA Division I leaders in goals with 56 this season. Thomson, who was named the America East Championship’s most outstanding player, is the program’s all-time scorer with 188 goals and 56 assists for 244 points.

Resetarits and Thomson led the Great Danes to their fourth America East championship in the last five years in 2007. UAlbany (15-3) set a single-season record for victories, defeated seven top-20 teams, and reached the NCAA quarterfinal round for the first time in the program’s history.
