In the NCAA Softball Tournament's Hempstead Regional, UAlbany collects two wins, eliminating Harvard and Hofstra... These are the first wins for UAlbany in NCAA tournament competition.

This is a huge win,” said UAlbany head coach Chris Cannata. “The Harvard game was the first win we had in the NCAA Tournament. It was also the first win for our conference in the tournament. We have been close the last couple years, but we needed to get over the hump. So being in the final is huge for us as a program.”
