UNIVERSITY OF ALBANY'S ENNEMA, ROWLEY, WILLIAMS NAMED TO NABC HONORS COURT - UALBANY SPORTS 2016


UAlbany Sports Information 07-27-2016 Send Mail Print KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2015-16 NABC Honors Court, recognizing those men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.

From the University at Albany, Dallas Ennema, Mike Rowley, and Reece Williams received recognition. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.

 In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows: 1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player. 2. Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2015-16 academic year. 3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution. 4. Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.

Ennema, an accounting major with a 3.54 cumulative GPA, finished his junior season averaging 4.4 points and 2.4 rebounds, making 32 appearances.

In addition, the Sheldon, Iowa native is a two-time America East All-Academic selection.

 Rowley, a finance major with a 3.48 GPA, started all 33 games in his junior season, averaging 8.3 points and 6.5 boards per game. The Sydney, Australia native led the Great Danes in field goal percentage and was also an America East All-Academic selection this season. Wiliams, a journalism major with a 3.46 GPA, is a two-time NABC Honors Court honoree. The senior captain redshirted his final season with the Great Danes in 2015-16.
